The pastor and later town leader of the minority community of L\u00e9va was a figure forgotten by Hungarian historiography. Despite the fact that he made his mark both as a spiritual leader and as a politician in a time when many members of the Hungarian intelligentsia in Upper Hungary chose to flee.
