Overview
Authors are encouraged to submit original manuscripts online in the format specified in the authors’ guidelines. These manuscripts must not be under consideration by another journal. The publisher uses multiple communication channels, such as email, text messages and phone calls, with the intention of providing authors with status updates and requests for action.
Publication procedure
Following the editor-in-chief’s acceptance of the manuscript for publication, the editorial team will prepare it for print and/or online publication. The initial step is language editing, after which the manuscript is returned to the corresponding author for review. This constitutes the final opportunity for the author to make textual changes to the manuscript and submit a revised version. At the final stage, the editorial office sends the proofreading to the author. The author is then granted a period of five working days within which to mark and correct any typographical errors identified during the proofreading process. Should the author fail to respond to requests for proofreading within the specified timeframe, it may not be feasible to incorporate their corrections into the printed version of the manuscript. Following a formal peer review, many manuscripts may be provisionally accepted until minor revisions are completed. At this point, the author is required to submit a revised manuscript. The editor will then estimate the necessary revisions, with the objective of completing them within a period of one month. The editor will request revisions by email and provide instructions on how to prepare the revised submission.
When preparing a revised version of your manuscript, it is very important that you carefully follow the instructions given in the editor’s letter and in the reviewers’ comments (if any).
